NYPD says young suspects stabbed and robbed teen in NYC subway station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals wanted for questioning in connection with an attempted robbery at a Brooklyn subway station.

Police said the incident occurred on Jan. 4, at approximately 4:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Van Sinderen and Livonia Avenue, near the Livonia Avenue subway station.

According to police, a 17‑year‑old male victim was approached on the station mezzanine by three unidentified individuals who attempted to forcibly remove his hooded sweatshirt. When the victim resisted, the individuals punched him, and one suspect stabbed him in the leg, police said.

The suspects then fled the location in an unknown direction.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The NYPD released the following descriptions of the individuals sought in connection with the incident:

Individual No. 1 is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 14 to 18 years old, with a slender build, brown eyes and medium black braids. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red hat, light‑colored sweatpants and white shoes.

Individual No. 2 is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 14 to 18 years old, with a slender build, brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and white shoes. Police said this individual stabbed the victim.

Individual No. 3 is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 14 to 18 years old, with a slender build, brown eyes and short black curly hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
