STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is investigating the death of a man found unresponsive on a subway platform in Manhattan.
Around 6:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, police responded to a report of an unconscious person on a platform at the 34th Street-Penn Station subway stop, according to a release from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
When they arrived, officers found an unresponsive 55-year-old man on the northbound platform for the C and E trains.
EMS transported the man to Lenox Hill Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
The 55-year-old man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
