Man shot in the Bronx, prompting post-rush hour manhunt for suspect

Officers from the 41st Precinct responded to a 911 call of a person shot in the vicinity of 1015 Fox St., near Westchester Avenue, in Longwood at around 9:30 a.m. on June 1.

EMS arrived and rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the suspect fled westbound on 165th Street in a white sedan.

So far, no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.

One witness on the Citizen app reported hearing gunshots in the area.

“I literally just walked out my building and turned the corner when shots fired,” the commenter said.

Police deployed a Level 1 mobilization, according to the neighborhood crime app, prompting a widespread search for the suspect.
